Our Membership: The Difference Makers

Joel Feldman presents to the Senate the End Distracted Driving campaign, created in honor of his daughter Casey after she was killed by a distracted driver.

Over 2,000 members strong, the Pennsylvania Association for Justice counts among its membership some of the best and most brilliant trial lawyers in the country. The organization is enriched by its many members around the state who commit to the cause of civil justice, care deeply about their clients’ rights, and work tirelessly to ensure that there is equal access to justice in courts across Pennsylvania even when the costs are high.

“Pennsylvania trial lawyers are some of the most remarkable people I’ve ever met anywhere -- their legal knowledge, political insight and compassion for their clients.“
—Tom Previc, PAJustice Director of Public Affairs

The largest section, the Automobile Law Section, was created in 2001 to meet the demands of auto law practitioners. Members belong to the section to utilize its popular e-mail list server with over 500 users. The active members of the Auto Section list server have found it to be among the most important benefits of their PAJustice memberships.

Section members pay $250 annually in addition to PAJustice member dues.

Connect. Collaborate. Succeed. The Future Leaders Section was formed to meet the unique needs of lawyers who have recently entered into the practice of P.I. law. Members who have been in practice fewer than 10 years receive reduced PAJustice dues and are automatically enrolled in the Future Leaders Section.

The section offers many ways to connect: social events, meetings, LinkedIn and Facebook. Benefit from reduced rates for most PAJustice events and CLE. Section members volunteer service and participate in special projects like the End Distracted Driving campaign to help teens make safer driving decisions.

Section membership is FREE with your PAJustice dues.

The Insurance Bad Faith Section addresses the needs of trial lawyers practicing in this ever-changing area of the law. The section produces a newsletter, distributes special news alerts, holds periodic meetings and offers an e-mail list server.

Section members pay $50 annually in addition to PAJustice member dues.

Launched in 1996, the Medical Malpractice Section was created in response to the needs of members practicing in the field of medical negligence. The section offers a popular list server, defense expert witness bank, special news alerts and reduced rates for selected PAJustice seminars and products. In addition, Med Mal Section members may make inquiries about defense experts to a bank of participating colleagues.

Section members pay $300 annually in addition to PAJustice member dues.

The Women Trial Lawyers Section was established to address the needs of PAJ women trial lawyer members representing claimants. Section membership provides access to a popular list server, statewide meetings, and special news alerts.
