Summary

3 Substantive CLE Credits

The CLE will feature an esteemed panel of PAJ trial lawyers who have successfully tried numerous cases throughout Pennsylvania.  This CLE is geared towards lawyers with little to no trial experience who are looking to hone their trial advocacy skills.

Using a specific motor vehicle crash fact pattern, the panel will take you through an entire trial from start to finish to reinforce basic trial skills and to teach you the keys of effective trial advocacy.  The CLE will feature topics on trial preparation, jury selection, effective strategies for opening and closing arguments, and cross examination and direct examination of a witness, including how to successfully impeach a witness.  The panel will also offer tips and tricks on the “dos and don’ts of trial” such as courtroom etiquette, effectively handling objections and properly admitting demonstrative evidence as an exhibit.

Whether you just obtained your law license or you’re looking to reinforce your trial skills, this CLE will be an essential guide on the basic concepts and techniques of a civil trial, and will provide you with the opportunity to ask questions of some of PAJ’s most esteemed trial veterans. Look out for an email regarding registration soon!
