Social Media for Law Firms: The New Testament - 8.23.2018
Faculty: Amy J. Coco, Esq. & Aron Solomon, JD
In this primer on social media for law firms, Aron Solomon, Consultant at NextLevel, and Amy Coco, Vice Chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Legal Ethics and Professional Responsibility Committee, will focus on positive ways to effectively harness the surprising power of social media. Solomon will get beyond the fear of social media to the heart of why social media matters, and Coco will discuss the ethical obligations associated with lawyers using social media. If you have a firm website, or are on LinkedIn, Twitter, or Facebook, you will not want to miss this discussion!

Voir Dire: Major Change Coming? - 9.06.2018
Faculty: John P. Gismondi, Esq. & Paul A. Lagnese, Esq.
As any experienced trial lawyer knows, nothing is more critical to a favorable outcome in a plaintiff personal injury case than picking a fair and unbiased jury. In recent years there has been a flurry of appellate cases impacting voir dire in civil cases. First came Cordes and Shinal which dealt with the grounds for disqualifying jurors who arguably expressed bias, and then even more recently came the Trigg case which held that trial judges must be present for jury selection if deference is to be given their rulings on challenges for cause. This program will do a "deep dive" into these critical voir dire issues so that you are prepared to pick the best, most unbiased jury you can for your client.

 Structuring Political Engagement - 9.13.2018
Faculty: Elizabeth C. Roggio, Esq.
In this election year, it is important to make sure you are complying with federal and state regulations as an individual, PAC, non-profit, or corporation. This program will cover political entities and the political process, as well as the rules governing political engagement and contribution limits.
