“Suffice it to say that Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro will not be inviting U.S. Rep. Scott Perry (R-10) to Shabbat dinner anytime soon.

“This is a guy who literally went to the floor of the United States House of Representatives on January 6 after the mob that he encouraged left the floor, and he rose to his feet and lied about Pennsylvania. And said that the ballot that returned him to Congress was lawful, but the ballot that sent Joe Biden to the White House was not.

The latest Emerson College poll shows once again what polls have been indicating for the past 2-3 weeks.

On the presidential side, former President Donald Trump received 47.3 percent from the responses of 1,000 registered voters in the Keystone State, while President Joe Biden polled at 45.2 percent. That 2.1 percentage-point difference is within the +/-3.0 percent margin of error, making the race a statistical tie.

The U.S. Supreme Court Friday upheld a federal law that bars people subject to domestic violence restraining orders from owning a firearm.

In an 8-1 decision on United States v. Rahimi, Chief Justice John Roberts wrote in the opinion that “our Nation’s firearm laws have included provisions preventing individuals who threaten physical harm to others from misusing firearms.”

Pennsylvania lawmakers on Wednesday filed legislation that would penalize employers who misclassify workers as independent contractors to avoid workers compensation.

House Bill 2411 would create both administrative and criminal penalties for employers who fail to properly classify workers to avoid having to provide workers compensation benefits.
